Outpatient Settings

Children and adolescents with chronic illnesses and their families have unique behavioral, emotional, and academic needs. The application of evidence-based interventions in school and outpatient settings for these families is key to improving quality of life and long-term health and well-being. We will discuss strategies to support health promotion, reduce school absenteeism/school refusal, and decrease social-emotional difficulties in children and adolescents facing physical and psychological health challenges.
Learning Objectives
School psychologists will receive 3 NASP-approved credits for attendance.
