September 2017 Lecture Series

Thank you to everyone who attended our first lecture!

It was a great morning of performance (so many tears!), discussion, and learning. A special thank you to the Toe Tag Monologues, CCSD's Department of Student Threat Evaluation and Crisis Response, and the elected officials who took the time to listen to our concerns regarding mental health services in our schools during round-table discussions.

Thank you for your interest in this unique interdisciplinary professional learning opportunity. We all play an important role in our children’s learning and development, and facilitated team building is one way to hone our skills. Whether you are a school psychologist, teacher, administrator, school nurse, or school counselor, this event will increase your effectiveness and impact on student outcomes. Through participation in the Save a Child, Save a Toe event, participants will:

  • Increase knowledge of environmental and cultural competency to promote positive student outcomes and wellness.
  • Increase awareness of facilitated resolution situations, as well as professional responsibilities and leadership roles.
  • Increase understanding of family-school collaboration, prevention, consultation, and mental health services.

We are honored to host the Toe Tag Monologues, and to partner with Clark County School District’s Department of Student Threat Evaluation and Crisis Response. Additional partners include the Nevada National Board Professional Learning Institute, the Nevada State Education Association, the Nevada School Counselor Association, the UNLV School Psychology Program, and the UNLV College of Education Alumni Association.

**The event will take place in Las Vegas with live-streaming to our participants in Reno, NV. Reno viewing will take place at Depoali Middle School, Room 110**

All participants will be provided certificates of attendance, and School Psychologists will earn 3 hours of NASP-approved credit.
